Starting from the centre of Chepstow we cross the river and out to the pennisular of Lancaut. With good views across the River Wye we pass old quarries and cliffs, through parkland, fields and the Lancaut nature reserve to ruined chapel in the hamlet of Lancaut. Some of the paths on the outward ramble will be on the Offa's Dyke path. After leaving Lancaut our route back to Chepstow will be via parts of the Gloucestershire Way.
Most of the walk is on pathways and tracks with a small amount of road work.
There are a couple of stiles.
Packed lunch.
Dogs welcome (may be livestock so would need to be kept on a lead in places).
Car parking (£2.00), toilets close to start / end of walk.
