Overview

This walk leaves from Tower Hill to the interesting Church of Magnus the Martyr, built in the ruins of the old London Bridge. We will be able to see a model of the old bridge and a statue of Magnus. The bridge burnt down in the Great Fire of London and was severely damaged again in WW2 with another fire in 1995 (details of which will be revealed by the walk leader). The walk carries on through Wapping to The Prospect of Whitby pub where light refreshments can be taken. We carry on up the Regents Canal to Mile End.
