We are the Wessex Wanderers Railway Walks. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at Dorchester West station, we head towards Poundbury and Maiden Castle Hill Forts. On returning, we visit Maumbury Rings Neolithic Henge and Roman Amphitheatre. We will be walking mainly on paths and tracks. It could be muddy in places. Care needed when crossing busy A35 road.
Bring picnic lunch.

Most railway stations along the line do not have toilets, including Weymouth, so if needed, it is advisable to use the train toilets before alighting.

Whilst the walks are risk assessed, and may be changed at short notice if necessary, for your health and wellbeing, we recommend that you wear good walking boots/shoes, consider if you need trekking poles, and bring sufficient food/drink for the walk.
