We are the South Ribble Ramblers covering the District between Preston and Chorley in Lancashire, based on the town of Leyland.
Starting from the car park by Coppice Cafe we will head out past what was St. Joseph's Seminary to Tontine. Coffee break will be at St. Thomas' Church, burial place of the last highwayman to be hanged. From there we will return via Lawns Farm and Holland Moor to the park. The walk is a mixture of road walking and footpaths, some of which could be muddy.
Parking is free at Beacon Park, where refreshments and toilets are available. St. Thomas' Church also serves refreshments and has a toilet. The icecream shop nearby may be open for Christine.
