Overview

To the east of Aberllefenni, almost completely surrounded by forestry land, is a hidden area of green fields with, at its far end, three low hills. The highest of the hills, at 469 metres, boasts a trig point and provides great views of nearby hills and of Cadair Idris from an unusual angle. The low point between the hills is interestingly named on the OS map as Bwlch Tri Arglwydd, the Pass of the Three Lords. Our walk today follows paths through woodland and over the fields, together with forest tracks and a quiet lane, to reach this secluded area. Our return is over an area of pastures and then through woodland, with a final stretch along the lane through the village.
