Overview

Join us for a walk filled with history and spectacular views. This moderately hilly route will reward you with views over Millington Dale and further afield into the Vale of York (weather-dependent). We will also visit the interesting church at Nunburnholme.

The walk is a moderately hilly 13.5 miles long. We follow the Roman Road climbing north out of Warter, then join the Wolds Way, with views into Nettle Dale and Millington Dale. There will then be time to explore the church at Nunburnholme, with its ninth century stone cross.
