It's that time again! Dig out those Christmas jumpers and most importantly the reindeer antlers we know you have stashed away at home (all optional of course). Because this year Chiltern Young Walkers will be getting festive by passing through the Woburn Deer Reserve and more.
We will set off from the large free car park in Woburn and make our way up towards Aspley Heath, before coming back down towards Husborne Crawley passing by the site of a crashed WWII bomber. From here we will venture around the perimeter of Woburn Safari Park, where if we are lucky we may get a distant glimpse of some elephants, then finish the walk by passing through the deer reserve. With a little imagination you may spot Rudolph.
If you want to stick around afterwards we will be swapping our shoes and heading for a celebratory drink at Longs Inn. They are expecting us and their kitchen is open too for anyone who has worked up an apetite, I know I will.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the walk but must be kept on a lead at all times. We will be going through the deer reserve where there are large animals so do bare this in mind. We don't want to scare any animals or Young Walkers...It's not halloween afterall.
The paths will be muddy and slippery so sturdy walking boots will be essential, as well as water and some snacks. There won't be a specific lunch stop as there is food available to purchase at Longs Inn afterwards.
