Starting in front of now closed village shop where there is plenty of on street parking, we walk to Scamland Bridge then cross fields to Seaton Ross turning toward Rytham Gate and onto Bielby Canal basin. We return along the side of Pocklington canal via Church bridge near Thornton to the Melbourne canal marina and back to our cars.
There is quite a bit of on road walking but mostly on small roads with grass verges. The rest will be on farm tracks one direct field crossing and canal side paths.
