Overview

The walk starts from the Wike turning off the A61 about a mile south of Harewood, (parking is alongside the Wike road immediately after turning off the A61).

The walk starts through the large wrought iron Lofthouse gates along the Leeds Country Way with views over to Harewood House. We pass the Emerdale TV village on our way to walk along the south bank of Eccup Reservoir. From Bank House farm we pick up the Leeds Country Way to pass Emerdale again on our way back into the Harewood Estate. After dropping down passed the old walled gardens, we climb up passing Home Farm and continue on up Church Lane to Harewood village. From the village we walk parallel to the A61 through Wall Side Plantation back to Lofthouse gates.10.5 miles.

Afternoon tea can be had at the Muddy Boots Café in Harewood.
