Steps and Stories is a chance to discover the joy of audiobooks through Newcastle Libraries' Reading for Wellbeing Team new audiobook walks.
A leisurely hour-long stroll along the banks of the river Tyne at Newburn, offering a blend of nature and serene spots to take in your surroundings all whilst listening to an audiobook of your choice. At the end of the walk, there will be an opportunity to share what you have been listening to and how you found the experience.
The walk will begin and finish at Hedley's Riverside Coffee Shop, where you will be able to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and grab a bite to eat if you wish. There are toilets available here.
This route is a mixture of tarmacked paths and gravel tracks and therefore may not be suitable for wheelchair users or those with buggies.
Please contact on readingforwellbeing@newcastle.gov.uk to raise any queries about the walks accessibility.
Please note:
This walk is free and there is no charge to take part
