Overview

The Itchen Way is a 30 mile route along the River Itchen from its source in Hinton Ampner to its mouth in Southampton. Our mini-holiday will cover the entire Itchen Way from source to sea.

More detail can be found in the walk descriptions for each day, but the general plan is as follows:
1. Southampton to Eastleigh
2. Eastleigh to Winchester
3. Winchester to Hinton Ampner

Each walk will be around 10 miles and will be easily accessible from Reading, but for those that want to do all three, there are lots of accommodation options around Winchester, Eastleigh and Southampton, with Premier Inns and Travelodges in all locations. The walk leaders / trip organisers are staying at Holden Farm campsite near Hinton Ampner.

There will be a Sunday dinner after the walk at The Hinton Arms – please let us know if you wish to attend, before Sunday 6th April.

For those who attend on Sunday, there is a chance to win a prized Easter egg! Sunday Easter dress will also be encouraged!

Individual walks will be available on Meetup to sign up as usual.

Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
