Overview

Meet at 9:45am for 10am departure.

Meeting point: Entrance to Sevenoaks District Council car park, in Gordon Road off Argyle Road which is free to use on Sundays. Neighbouring roads also have free parking on Sundays. If coming by train, Sevenoaks train station is half a mile walk (uphill).

We'll head through town to Knole Park where we take Duchess Walk to the boundary of the park. From there we cross fields, orchards and woodland to National Trust Ightham Mote https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/kent/ightham-mote.

We'll stop here for a lunch and drink break. Toilets and cafe available.

After the refreshment break we'll be walking back to Sevenoaks along the Greensand Way with wonderful views south towards Tonbridge and beyond.

Some short steep sections but nothing too challenging - but beware mud if it's been raining!

ETA back in Sevenoaks town 3pm. Plenty of shops, cafes and pubs for those who want to explore.

The Council car park is another 5 minutes walk from the town centre.
