Abbeystead to Grizedale Bridge, over Margery's Hill past Luncheon Hut up to Ward's Stone. Descend via Tarnsyke Clough to Tarnbrook. Follow the Wyre Way to Tower Lodge and back to Abbeystead. Risk Assessment: A moderate-plus walk. Some steep stiles, top of Ward's Stone can be boggy. Livestock en-route.
Please inform the walk leader of any health issues they should be aware of.
Stoops Bridge, Abbeystead. Coming from Dolphinholme go past Abbeystead Village Hall over Stoops Bridge and take immediate right into Doeholme Rake. Park in front of the river (free parking)
