A moderate-plus walk starting from Trevor Basin, we cross the Dee on the Pontcysyllte viaduct before ascending to join the Ceiriog Trail to Pen-y-coed and Llangollen. After a short walk through the town, we climb to join Offa’s Dyke Path below castle Dynas Bran returning to the start via Trevor Hall Woods and along the canal. Risk assessment: Care crossing A539 and A5. Livestock in fields.
