Overview

BOOKING REQUESTED

Through Smithills Country Park and over Smithills Moor to the viewpoint of Winter Hill, site of the Winter Hill TV mast and mobile phone masts.  On a clear day we should be able to see to Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester and beyond. We start the return via the Rotary Way then Crooked Edge Hill and Adam Hill, and down to Walker Fold and Barrow Bridge back to the car park.  Risk assessment: Likely to be muddy in places.  Rough ground. May be some livestock in the fields.
