Starting at the Wellington Statue we will go to the new Wellesley development and stop briefly at the Cambridge Hospital to see the Florence Nightingale statue. We will then walk to Prince’s Gardens past the parachute and gurkha memorials before walking to the Municipal Gardens, into Cargate Avenue. Leaving the urban area we will then walk through Rowhill Copse across to Ceaser’s Camp and Sunny Hill before making our way back past the remains of Queen Victoria’s Royal Pavilion, the facia of the Cavalry Barracks to the Royal Garrison Church and the Wellington statue. Cafes, toilets etc available in the town centre.
Rowhill Copse and Sunny Hill will be muddy so wear stout boots and waterproofs and bring poles if helpful.
