We are the Alton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A reasonably flat circular route from the newly refurbished The Angel Hotel. Some great views across the Hampshire countryside. Mainly open farmland and quiet country roads. At this time of year some of the terrain may be restricted, but not impassable, by the Summer growth of vegetation. There are 2 unmaintained stiles which are negotiable with care.
The Angel Hotel has offered to make up light lunches to order. The walk is 7 miles so about 3.5 hours leisurely walking with a couple of drink stops. So, if we start from The Angel at 0930 we should be back for lunch at 1pm.
There is ample parking at the hotel and they have some really nice outdoor seating should the weather be kind.
