We are the Northallerton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Leaving Aske Hall we pass through Richmond Golf Club to the old racecourse. If the weather has been dry and the stream is passable we head for High Coalsgarth, Black Plantation and Gillingwood Hall. Otherwise we drop into Richmond, Easby Abbey, Skeeby and Gilling Grange. Both routes end up crossing the parkland back to Aske. The alternative route is slightly shorter than advertised, but will only be used if the stream is too high. A few stiles on both routes.
