A short walk for a Winter's day starting from Yearsley village heading downhill to High & Low Lions with hopefully clear views of the White Horse & Ampleforth Abbey then a level track east to Yearsley woods for our lunch stop at the lower fishpond. It's then a gradual uphill via the upper fishpond on good forest tracks back to Yearsley which will be taken at a leisurely pace.
1 stile, pastures, field paths & forest tracks. Expect some mud through the 2 working farms.
