Overview

From the layby we’ll walk into Belton then follow the lane and path to Long Wood. Picking up the Leicester Round while then head back east to Leigh Lodge and Ridlington. The path follows field boundaries to return to the layby.

The walk for the most part follows fields boundaries or farm tracks and will provide good footing even when wet.

The total ascent is 975 feet. There are three stiles on the walk.

Dogs are accepted on this walk, although they must be on leads at all times.

Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
