Overview

From the Woodhill Wood Car Park to the east of Alva this walk heads first on a low level path towards Tilicoultry from where we ascend into Mill Glen and Gorge. Here walking is challenging over steps and rocky terrain with various bridges crossing the burn. Having climbed out of the gorge we ascend the grassy ridge leading up to The Law. It is a fairly steep climb but with good views across to King’Seat and later the plains of the Forth. The Law is reached at a height of 638m. From here we follow grassy paths to Ben Cleuch (721m), the highest hill of the Ochils. The descend is via Ben Ever (622m) and then into Sliver Glen from where we return to the starting point.
