We are the Plymouth Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A short train ride on the 10.24 Gunnislake train from Plymouth railway station( 10.27 from Devonport station with free parking and £1 cheaper train fare) . Exploring Bere Ferrers old station before taking the Daffodil Trail through woods and fields to meet the River Tamar and follow the shoreline back to Bere Ferrers via the playground and Plough Inn, then heading back through the village to the station for train home @15.40. Beautiful views of the River , Picnics along the way, Daffodils hopefully still plentiful along the hedgerows and woodland trails and river banks to scramble. Copious mud if it's been raining and silt along the shore so boots and wellies essential! It's Bere Ferrers Spring Festival that afternoon so opportunity to drop in there on way back for the train.
This walk could be 4 or 5 miles depending on state of woodland paths!
