We are the Retford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Leaving Bolsover we emerge at Surprise View where there are far reaching views to Sutton Scarsdale Hall, Hardwick Hall and beyond.
Over to Scarcliffe and into Roseland Wood to pick up The Archaeological Way and into Stony Houghton. From here into Rowthorne, over to Glapwell and then the glorious ridge walk back into Bolsover.
Some field paths, some quiet lane walking. Some small inclines.
Walking boots, suitable clothing. Drinks and food. Lots of water if hot weather, there are no shops along the way.
