This walk takes us onto the southern edge of Kinder. From the car park we walk through Grindsbrook Booth, and then uphill on a grass path which becomes paved and stepped as we climb up to Ringing Roger. This is a steep ascent, for about one mile, on a good path, and is well worth the effort. After a well earned coffee break, we join the edge of Kinder and follow round over rocky tors - again this is mostly paved. This is a really interesting part of the landscape to enjoy, and brings us to the top of Grindsbrook Clough. From here we head for the knoll, turning south and west towards Upper Booth, to follow a gradual descent that joins the Pennine Way. This takes us back to Edale.
Food and drinks are needed, especially water if it is a warm day.
Walking boots are necessary, and poles if you are used to them.
There are toilets at the car park.
In case of bad weather please contact the walk leader on the morning of the walk.
