Our route goes over the quieter eastern end of the Brecon Beacons range.  From Talybont we take the Taff Trail before ascending the Twyn Du ridge to Carn Pica, crossing the Waun Rydd plateau, descending the Gist Wen Ridge & returning along the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal tow path.  Great views towards the Black Mountains. 

In the event of bad weather, the back up date is Friday 21st February.

The plan is to meet in the Henderson Hall village car park, Talybont-on-Usk for a 9.30am start. Public toilets at car park. Car park donations required. Contact walk leader Rod to reserve your place on this walk and to tell him if you are going direct or require car share. Bring a packed lunch and warm clothing. Poles may be useful.
