If you are a Ramblers member, please bring your membership card. You MUST text or ring the leader to BOOK a place. You should not join the walk unless you have received a verbal CONFIRMATION or a TEXT.
The walk leader will meet you at the start, and could pick up from Calne. Please text to book and arrange a car share if needed.
Starting from the layby we first head south before turning to start our climb up to the Monument (Lollipop for the first one to reach it!) We then begin our descent via Olbury hillfort, Ranscombe Bottom and Calstone Mill.
The walk starts from the layby on the right hand side of the A4 coming from Calne, at Quemerford Gate. Please park thoughtfully. O/S Explorer No 157.
