Overview

This is a very leisurely walk from Brierley Forest Park CP.  Our walk takes us through reclaimed land, largely created on the former Sutton Colliery.  We pass Brierley Water, Hardwick View and the memorial to the miners killed or injured in the Sutton (Brierley) pit disaster of 1957. Book, by TEXT only, by 8 am on the day.  Please note that there are some inclines en route: total ascent according to OS maps is 85 metres (279 feet).
