Overview

A walk with a difference today.  We use the volunteer run chain ferry to cross the River Soar.  Our route follows the river before heading off for Sutton Bonington village.  We return across farmland before using the ferry again to return to our cars.

Walkers need to bring 2 £1 coins to pay for the ferry. 

PLEASE NOTE - Please book with the walk leader by 5 pm the day before.  

*You are welcome to turn up on the day without booking, but please check the website after 5pm the night before to check it is on, as it will be cancelled if no bookings have been received.

Ramblers members from other Ramblers groups are welcome to join us. 

Please wear walking boots and bring a waterproof.  Please bring plenty to eat and drink.  Please carry a completed ICE card (go to our website, click Walks, then click What to Bring).
