Overview

From the carpark by All Saints Church at Broadchalke we will follow the River Ebble to the church at Fifield Bavant for a coffee stop. (2 miles). There will be opportunity to buy watercress direct from the farm on the way there. Then a hilly route with excellent views over Knowle Hill to the Ox Drove and a return via the Middleton Down Nature Reserve and Church Bottom.  Optimists may wish to know that it is possible to use public transport to and from this walk: the 08.55 number 29 bus from Salisbury Blue Boar Row arrives in Broadchalke at 9.20; there is a return bus at 12.35 and another at 14.05. There is a café and a pub in Broadchalke.
