A lovely varied walk in a quiet unspoilt corner of Lincolnshire with beautiful rolling countryside.
The walk starts in the village of Burton-le-Coggles which was mentioned in the Doomsday book and named for the path of cobbles which ran through the area.
The route then will then take us along Camp Lane, past Osgodby Coppice to the village of Ingoldsby. The return journey is via the hamlet of Scotland, through Ingoldsby Wood to Bitchfield and Lower Bitchfield.
There will be the usual coffee and lunch breaks.
Dogs are allowed on this walk. However, they must be under tight control and on a lead at all times.
The Cholmeley Arms is close by for those that want to retire afterwards for a drink with the walk leader. There is a lovely garden to sit in.
