We are the Ramblers Northampton. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A walk along the banks of the River Nene. The route follows a tarmac cycle route through Brackmills to Great Houghton before following footpaths and lanes to Little Houghton. We walk around the edge of southern edge of Billing Aquadrome before pausing for coffee at the garden centre. Our route then enters the Aquadrome and then takes us through the Washlands back to our starting point. This will be around 9 miles. You may wish to finish your walk here. Alternatively join us for an additional couple of miles alongside the lake to Delapre before cutting through the university and returning again to the start point via the Whitewater rafting facility.
This walk is 9 or 11 miles in length.

The Waterside Cafe, Northampton Active is open all day before the walk, at 9 miles and at the end of the walk.
