Overview

A fine walk on the eastern slopes of the eastern valley which has more in common with rural Monmouthshire than that of the post-indusrial landscape on the western slopes. Capel Newydd is the site of an old chapel marked by a small cross.

Note: The mountain track on Mynydd Garnclochdy between Abersychan and Cwmavon is likely to be wet and muddy at this time of year!
