Overview

Nice moderate Sunday morning 12.5/13.0km local circular loop from The Boathouse car park at Auchinstarry Marina, Croy. Nearest postcode is: G65 9SG. What3Words: ///shielding.seashell.vanish

The route will head up over Castle Hill, and visit the roman fort at Bar Hill, then down into Tweechar, heading back along the River Kelvin to Auchinstarry Quarry. We will head back over bridge and continue walk along the Canal Path, and up along to visit Silvanus, and return via Croy Hill, and drop back down to the car park.  

Gentle easy hills which can be bypassed if desired.  Also as this route is a figured of 8, you are welcome to join either the first half, and/or the second half.  

There is an option if anyone wishes to call into The Boathouse, or The Port Gallery for a refreshment and cake.
