Overview

Starting at Woodford Lodge this walk initially follows the recently extended tarmac Chew Valley Recreational Trail past the Sailing club and onto the road near the dam. Following the edge of the lake to the right we come into a car parking area with a restaurant and toilets. We then leave the lake and go up and over Knowle Hill before downhill onto Pitts Lane and Denny Lane which lead us to the edge of Chew Magna. Return to Woodford Lodge is across fields past Chota Castle and eventually re-joining the Recreational Trail.
