Overview

Another chance to explore the Gog Magog Hills just south of Cambridge, following on from our recent outing there. This time we're following a somewhat different route, see also web link below.

A gentle 10km/6m route starting at 10:00am and ending at Stapleford Granary at approx. 1:00pm, taking in farming landscape to the south of Cambridge, including part of the Roman Road, Wandlebury Country Park  and views over Cambridge from Magog Hill.

The site is open from 9:00am on Saturday and you can access the toilets. There is no pre-order procedure for lunch. The cafe only offers light bites (toasties, salads, and savoury tarts as well as cakes and pastries) - there aren’t the large plate options that are associated with pub menus. More information can be found at https://www.staplefordgranary.org.uk/stapleford-granary-cafe

Alcohol can be served at the bar at lunch time, but only in the bar area. Wine and bottled beers can be served. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to reserve seating but I suggest we use the bar area and try to get tables near each other.
