Overview

A circular walk of approx. 9 miles from Felsted to The Compasses pub at Littley Green for lunch, before returning to Felsted. The pub is locally known as "The Huffer Pub" because it specializes in oversized "huffer" sandwiches. Other pub classics are available as well. Please arrive in good time to pre-order your lunch on the day.

The morning walk will take us along the River Chelmer all the way to the old brewery, after a loop including part of the Flitch Way. It also includes a couple of large fishing ponds. The afternoon walk will be much shorter, possibly including Lodge Lake or a view of Leez Priory depending on energy levels!

Please note that this walk will be at a somewhat brisker pace than our usual leisurely rambles.
