Overview

Starting from the car park at the Recreation Ground we head uphill following the Shropshire Way to the hill fort at Bury Ditches. Break here before a gentle descent down to Clunton where we cross the River Clun. Lunch will be somewhere around here.

A short climb takes us to a track that contours along the lower edge of Sowdley Wood with views of the Clun valley. Arriving on the edge of Clun we have a quick visit past the church then over Clun Bridge (cafe & loos here) and back to the start.
