The walk is 5.25 miles long.
About half of the walk is on tarmac or concrete but there will be mud on the other half, so sticks and gaiters are recommended. There is only one very short climb, the walk is generally leisurely. There are no stiles.
After parking in Cramlington Manor Walks Car Parks (East CP near Sainsbury, or South CP near Vue Cinema) (they have a 4 hour parking limit) or if you’re lucky Smithy Square CP (sank.strikers.scary ) or ( cuddled.inert.thinks) (72 hour limit) please meet at the Cramlington War Memorial (near the Blagdon Arms pub) at mixing.giant.fruits.
The walk will start at what was once the centre of old Cramlington village near the church (there has been a church in Cramlington since Norman times) and proceed east through High Pit out of town towards Seaton Delaval and then in a circle through woods and fields past two local art installations The Shroud and The Spoon. We then come back to Cramlington and walk up the route of an old waggonway near Alexandra Park and Seven Oaks Park back to our starting point.
There are toilets in Manor walks near Asda and in the South Mall near the Vue Cinema.
There are several pubs near the end of the walk for toilets and refreshments.
