Overview

Views of the attractive little seaside town of Criccieth on the Lleyn Peninsular are dominated by the ruins of its castle, set on a craggy headland above the shore. There are extensive views from the seafront across to the Harlech coast and Rhinogydd mountains. On the landward side lies an area of farmland, with scattered stretches of woodland and little winding rivers. Today's walk makes a circuit of this varied area, taking in both coastal and inland paths.
