A somewhat steep and long initial climb via the delightful valley of Cwm Cumbeth is well rewarded with a break and fine views from Table Mountain (weather permitting). After descending into Llanbedr we will pause to view a very ancient yew tree in the churchyard and lunch will be taken by the side of the picturesque Grwyne Fechan River. We will then continue our walk to Llangenny mostly along the banks of the pretty Grwyne Fawr River. Return to Crickhowell is over farmland and will probably be muddy in places.
The car park for the meet in Crickhowell is fee-paying, however free road parking is available around the town or with an honesty box contribution at Crickhowell High School. There are free toilet facilities at the meet point.
For those wishing to car share, we will be departing at 8.30am from Wilton Road Car Park.
