Overview

We walk from Fownhope taking us along the banks of the river Wye via Big Bend passing through the grounds of Leabrink, Mancell's Ferry, Rise Farm and Ring House. The walk is mainly in fields, only crossing a minor road twice. There are usually a number of bird species to be seen on the way. There are a few stiles and the ground can be muddy in places. The scenery along the river is stunning.
