A moderate but lengthy walk from St Briavels across rolling countryside and woodlands with extensive views of the Wye Valley, a section of Offa's Dyke then ending in a steep climb from the valley floor and riverside back up to St Briavels. We visit the petrified brook with its renowned (but very small!) tufa waterfalls during the morning.
It may be muddy after rain and there are one or two steep slippery sections so sticks recommended. There is pub and shop at St Briavels for sustenance before or after the walk, but nothing in between. There may be toilets in the YHA if you ask nicely or the pub.
Meet at Wilton Rd car park at 9.15am to share lifts.
20 places max so please book early to avoid disappointment.
