Danby , North Yorkshire

From Danby we head out in an Easterly direction taking a path North of the road. We drop down to Danby Lodge National Park Centre on the Lealholm road. We lave the road after 200m to climb Oakley side on the Esk Valley walk and reach Danby Beacon where we will stop for coffee. We then proceed eastwardsfor 350 metres and turn North across Black Dyke Moor to the western edge of Scaling Dam Reservoir. We zig-zag from here to avoid road walking on the A171and pick up the "Panierman's Causeway" heading for Clitherbeck Farm. From there we dropdown through the woods to meet with our outgoing path and return to the Car Park
