Overview

Heading north to Cadell and Murton Grange we take a coffee break with views of Hawnby.  Turning in an easterly direction a woodland track and fields take us to Barnclose and Tylas Farms, we then follow the River Rye.  After a lunch stop beside the river, we follow the Rye valley to Bow Bridge and over the fields to Rievaulx Abbey where we join the Cleveland Way to Cold Kirby, after leaving the village it is a short distance over the fields to the cars.
