Overview

This walks starts by heading west via Hall Farm across the River Esk to Hawthorn House. It then heads north joining the John Breckon Road and then east following the Esk Valley Walk across Westerdale Moor to Dibble Bridge. It then continues up the road near Rigg End to High Castleton. At High Castleton we head south east via Diddlehowe Farm, still following the Esk Valley Walk, past West Green Farm, Plum Tree Farm, West Cliffe Farm ,Blackmires and Stormy Hall until we reach Danby Head. At Danby Head we head east and climb past Honey Bee Nest and a Quarry before  we head north again (on the road) to High Stone Dyke where we take a north westerly path past Dale Head over a foot bridge and past Broad Gate Farm and then continue on Broad Gate Road back towards Westerdale.
