This figure-of-eight ramble is essentially two circular walks that both start and end in Cropton. Heading south-west to the village of Appleton-le-Moors, the first one is approximately six miles, while the second, which strikes off to the north-east to explore Cropton Forest, is around four miles; the total ascent is about 1,450 feet. Poles are recommended. Walkers are welcome to join us for the first walk, without staying for the second.
