Overview

This is a generally flat walk on good paths.

Meet at Pow Hill Country Park, Edmundbyers, DH8 9NT  prune.hampers.delivers

This is a leisurely 5.5 mile horseshoe shaped walk around the eastern end of  the Derwent Reservoir. We meet at Pow Hill Country Park DH8 9NT.

Leave the A68 at the B6278 junction onto the Edmundbyers/Blanchland road and travel 2.5 miles to Edmundbyers. On entering the village exit right

Onto the B6306 for Blanchland.  After 1.5 miles turn right down a steep track to Pow Hill Country Park. There is a new tarmac car park (free) at the bottom of the hill.

There are no toilets at Pow Hill, however there are toilets at Derwent Waterside Park ( CP fee) at novel.enjoys.scoring  which you pass shortly before Edmunbyers.  We will pass these on foot fairly  early in the walk. After the walk there are refreshments to be had at The Derwent Arms in Edmunbyers (DH8 9NL).
