The route starts from Fernilee Reservoir and follows the River Goyt and then up to Fernilee, then skirts around Ladder Hill, and up to Eccles Pike (NT) with wide ranging views. We descend to Chapel Golf Course and Tunstead Milton, then ascend around Ladder Hill to Thorny Lee and descend to Goyt Valley via Bunsal Cob and Fernilee Reservoir.
