Moderately paced walk. Shortly after leaving Egham Station (toilet requires key from station staff), we reach quieter roads and countryside before entering Windsor Great Park hoping to catch its azaleas and rhododendrons in flower (subject to uncontrollable conditions). We walk past the Totem Pole (due to be taken down) and on to Savill Gardens café (toilets/possible lunch stop) but please bring a picnic and drinks. No drop out points. Finish 15.30 approx
MEET: Egham Station by ticket office (Waterloo 9:50, Clapham Jct. 9:58, Richmond 10:06, Twickenham 10:10, Staines 10:24 or Brentford 9:53, Hounslow 10:02, Staines 10:20 Oyster and Freedom passes valid to Feltham, necessitating onward ticket from Feltham to Egham. Please check with nationalrail.co.uk before travelling.
