Delightful, leisurely walk along the canal towpath with its boats, bushes and flowers, passing interesting buildings, woodland and parkland. Visit to the Sikh gurdwara in Southall (bring a headscarf for this visit & be prepared to remove shoes for the inner sanctum) You may like to bring some pre-packed food (fruit/veg as most Sikhs are vegetarian) to donate to the kitchen and a donation for having your lunch there. Alternatively bring a picnic to eat at the canal side. Toilets at Gurdwara and at The Old Crown. Food & drink can also be purchased in Southall.

Meet: Brent Lea bus stop. To get there from Brentford Station, walk 500 yards south (Starting at the "From London platform" - take the flat exit or from the "to London" platform - exit via bridge then turn left). On reaching Brentford High Street (T junction), turn right (keep to the right side of road), walk 500 yards (just over the river) to Brent Lea bus stop. Brent Lea bus stop on the north side of London Road/High Street Brentford. Buses: 235, 237, 267 and E8.
Estimated finish time 14:30h at Hayes and Harlington Station with buses H98 to Hounslow, 90 to Feltham and 195 to Brentford. Option to take train back from Southall to Brentford and walk 500 yds to the High St Brent Lea bus stop.
